Klenová Castle and Chateau, along with the nearby Manor House, is situated on the hill of the same name, to the west of the town of Klatovy in the Pilsen Region. The castle has a rich history, dating back to 1287 when it was built to guard the trade route from Železná Ruda to Bavaria. Exploring abandoned quarries is a fascinating way to witness the power of nature to reclaim land that was once used for human purposes. In the Brno area, there are several quarries that have been left to nature. It is intriguing to observe the paths and patterns created by the movement of people and machines in the past, now softened and blurred by the overgrowth of vegetation.
