Tovacov pond is a picturesque and tranquil place located in the heart of nature. An integral part of it is the ducks that attract not only local residents but also visitors from the surrounding area. These charming birds not only contribute to the serenity and pleasant atmosphere of the pond but also provide a unique opportunity for photography.
I have visited this place during my latest holiday spent in Marianske Lazne SPA. Bor is a castle in the town of the same name in the Tachov district. And the day I visited it was extremely misty from the early morning until the late afternoon. I have started visit of the castle from the nearby park with a pond. When approaching to the castle inhabitants of this pond came out from the nearby bushes and started to shout at me.
Over the weekend, I found myself chasing birds around the picturesque Lednice ponds. While some might find this activity odd or even foolish, I had my reasons for doing so. For starters, I needed to get some exercise for my stiff knee and what better way to do so than in the fresh air and open spaces of the great outdoors?
Whenever I visit some city, I like walking by some pond or reservoir and watch water birds as they enjoy their freedom. The most common waterbird here in the Czech Republic is a wild duck and I really like taking pictures of this animal. Males are a colorful female a little bit dull but together they can play and make fun. Here are a few pictures. Please watch and I also wishbone appetite.
