Three castles in western Bohemia

The Western Bohemia region of the Czech Republic is home to many stunning castles and chateaus, each with their own unique history and charm. During their travels through the region, the author had the opportunity to visit several of these historic landmarks, but there were three that stood out to them in particular: Ostrov Château, Seeberg Castle, and Kynzvart Castle.

Pernstejn castle is a magnificent example of Gothic architecture located in the Czech Republic. The castle has attracted many visitors over the years, drawn by its rich history and stunning architecture. However, despite visiting the castle numerous times, the author had never taken the time to explore its garden until their most recent visit.

Nymburk – stone bridge

Nymburk is a picturesque city located in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, known for its numerous bridges and historical landmarks. One of the most notable of these landmarks is the stone bridge, which spans the Labe River and connects the old town with the new town.

Cesky Sternberk – castle

The author of this text recently took advantage of a few days off from work to visit a new place they had never been to before – the Cesky Sternberk castle. While they don't go into detail about the photos they took during their visit, they do mention that the weather was dull and chilly, which may have affected their mood and experience.

Nove Hrady castle

Exploring castles is a favourite pastime for many people, and the author of this text is no exception. Their latest weekend trip took them to the Pardubice Region of Eastern Bohemia, where they visited the castle of Nove Hrady.

Bor castle in the mist and ducks

I have visited this place during my latest holiday spent in Marianske Lazne SPA. Bor is a castle in the town of the same name in the Tachov district. And the day I visited it was extremely misty from the early morning until the late afternoon. I have started visit of the castle from the nearby park with a pond. When approaching to the castle inhabitants of this pond came out from the nearby bushes and started to shout at me. There were many ducks hidden all around the banks.

Marianske Lazne – street photo

Cachtice Castle

Cachtice Castle stands as a captivating ruin in Slovakia, nestled in the district of Nove Mesto nad Vahom, near the village sharing its name in Cachtice, within the embrace of the Little Carpathians. Venturing on a brief excursion, I set out to explore this historical gem, and the resulting journey unfolded into a visual story.

Austria trip on the River Danube

Embarking on a picturesque journey along the enchanting River Danube in Austria, I found myself immersed in a day of exploration and scenic delights. Despite a somewhat chaotically organized start, where disembarking and boarding occurred multiple times, the overall experience was a captivating sojourn.

Klatovy walk through the city

A brief sojourn in the regal town of Klatovy unfolded, punctuated by a leisurely stroll through the quaint summer "dug-out" town. Despite the weathered facades of the timeworn structures, their peeling exteriors exuded a peculiar charm. Notwithstanding the antiquity that clung to the buildings, the central square offered a respite of delight, where a functioning fountain added a touch of vivacity to the surroundings.
