Night picture of Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, Brno

I do really enjoy capturing the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul in Brno at night, as it offers a unique and enchanting view. To achieve the perfect shot, it requires finding the right angle and timing when there are no distractions such as cars or tram wires around. Recently, I was able to take advantage of these perfect conditions and capture a stunning picture of the cathedral at night.

Old quarry

Exploring abandoned quarries is a fascinating way to witness the power of nature to reclaim land that was once used for human purposes. In the Brno area, there are several quarries that have been left to nature. It is intriguing to observe the paths and patterns created by the movement of people and machines in the past, now softened and blurred by the overgrowth of vegetation.

Loket castle and cloudy sky

When I finally arrived at Loket castle, I was greeted by a breath-taking view of the castle perched on a hill overlooking the town below. The castle's imposing stone walls and towers rose up against the cloudy sky, creating a dramatic scene that was perfect for photography.

Hradec nad Moravici, Red and White chateau

Three castles in western Bohemia

The Western Bohemia region of the Czech Republic is home to many stunning castles and chateaus, each with their own unique history and charm. During their travels through the region, the author had the opportunity to visit several of these historic landmarks, but there were three that stood out to them in particular: Ostrov Château, Seeberg Castle, and Kynzvart Castle.

The castle has attracted many visitors over the years, drawn by its rich history and stunning architecture. However, despite visiting the castle numerous times, the author had never taken the time to explore its garden until their most recent visit.

Nymburk – stone bridge

Cesky Sternberk – castle

The author of this text recently took advantage of a few days off from work to visit a new place they had never been to before – the Cesky Sternberk castle. While they don't go into detail about the photos they took during their visit, they do mention that the weather was dull and chilly, which may have affected their mood and experience.

Nove Hrady castle

Exploring castles is a favourite pastime for many people, and the author of this text is no exception. Their latest weekend trip took them to the Pardubice Region of Eastern Bohemia, where they visited the castle of Nove Hrady.

Bor castle in the mist and ducks

I have visited this place during my latest holiday spent in Marianske Lazne SPA. Bor is a castle in the town of the same name in the Tachov district. And the day I visited it was extremely misty from the early morning until the late afternoon. I have started visit of the castle from the nearby park with a pond. When approaching to the castle inhabitants of this pond came out from the nearby bushes and started to shout at me. There were many ducks hidden all around the banks.
